wellllllllll
hello sultry notebook why you lying in the rain
let me take you in and dry you off and see what secrets possibly remain yeaa
lets dry you off and cue the sun, a new day now begins
every branch of green and sky of blue gives proof that i have washed away my sins yeaa
but the story soon attacked me for i dug deeper than i should
by the looks of things around me, oh whys it always bad before the good yeaa
i proud myself on loyalty for miles they'll see me grin
i promise to return you but not too soon buckle up ill take ya for a spin yeaa
i'm just chasing the wind
but well meet again, my friend, it'll be alright
Well, I've been running frantically, but I can barely stand.
Trying to escape my thoughts, and get my body far from all these
people with their sleight of hands, putting blades into my dreams and plans, they take all in the world that's grand and throw it in my face.
and now I'm force fed images of lies, of freedom and a better life, by sticking straight on to the line and marching proudly forward
towards the plank that keeps me in my shackles drugged on their poisons, fearing everything and everyone I'm absorbing through my skin.
i come alive tonight
the sun the moon the stars they'll be by my side
(and I feel so messed up.
and now I'm all caught up)
in all the thoughts i've done lost over time the dregs of stress that once were mine, and now they're swept and piled high and I think I might just give up....
i'm just chasing the wind
but well meet again, and my friend, it'll be alright
everything will be alright
everything will be just fine
